DRDO is also known as Defence Research and Development Organisation is an agency of the Republic of India. It was set up in the year of 1958 by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation and main headquarters located in DRDO Bhavan, New Delhi. This agency is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence. At present, there are total 30,000 active employees of 7200 scientists approximately and 12000 technical officers and assistant.
